Teen & Tween

The Teen & Tween area is located on the second floor of the library. Whether you love to read, play video games, or simply hang out, this space is dedicated to serving tweens and teens (grades 6th through 12th). Come and enjoy this area to meet friends, relax with a book, do homework, play games and be creative. We have a large selection of books, audiobooks, graphic novels, college information, and magazines. Added bonus – we have a drawing window, too! There are also computer stations and gaming stations specifically dedicated for use by our teens and tweens. We also offer a wide range of programs generously funded by the Friends of the Gates Public Library.

Take & Make

Each month a new Take & Make craft is set out in the Teen Services area. Drop by and pick up an envelope containing all you’ll need for a ‘do-at-home’ craft. Basic supplies such as glue and scissors will not be included in the craft envelopes. Pick them up early so you don’t miss out! Take & Make crafts are free, courtesy of the Friends of the Gates Public Library!
