Book Discussions
Ideas ‘n’ Authors
When you read a great book (or even a lousy one) you always want to tell someone about it. Come to the Gates Public Library’s book discussion group, Ideas ‘n’ Authors, and discuss books with people who love reading as much as you do. Ideas ‘n’ Authors takes place the first Monday of each month from September to June at 7:00 P.M. in the library meeting room. Copies of the current book the group is reading are available to check out at the circulation desk.
#ReadWomen
Join us for the book club that exclusively reads female authors. The book selection for April (postponed from March) will be The Girl with the Louding Voice by Abi Dare. The book is available to pick up at the Gates Public Library or you can try and get the title through our Overdrive system as an audiobook or e-book.
In 2014 Joanna Walsh, author and journalist, founded #ReadWomen to promote and support books written by women. Any genre. Any length. Any kind. We hope to keep up the momentum.
Registration with a valid email address is required and a Zoom link will be sent to registrants either the day before or the day of the event.
Notary Public
Gates Public Library offers free notary services. Please call ahead to ensure that our notary is in.
