K-12 Poetry Contest

ENTER THE FRIENDS OF THE GATES PUBLIC LIBRARY'S K-12 POETRY CONTEST $50 FIRST PRIZES AND TWO RUNNER-UP PRIZES IN THREE DIVISIONS: K-5, MIDDLE SCHOOL, AND HIGH SCHOOL A SPECIAL $25 PRIZE WILL BE AWARDED FOR A POEM ABOUT THE TOWN OF GATES Contest is open to all K-12 students who live or go to school within the Gates Chili Central School District. Poems must include the student's name, address, phone number, their school's name, and grade. Students may submit up to two poems. Poems may be written in any style, rhymed or unrhymed. Maximum length: 25 lines. Entries must be legible. Contest winners will be honored at the Friends Annual Meeting on May 18, 2026 at Gates Public Library. Enter the K-12 Poetry Contest, hosted by the Friends of the Gates Public Library!

The due date for submission is this Friday, April 10, before we close at 6pm.

The contest is open to all K-12 students in the Gates Chili Central School District. Please include name, address, phone number, school name, and grade in submissions.
