Help support Gates Public Library on #givingtuesday, December 3!
The Friends of Gates Public Library is a 501(c)(3) participating in ROC the Day, a 24-hour, online giving extravaganza powered by United Way of Greater Rochester. The Friends of GPL would be honored to be your Not-for-Profit organization of choice!
Our focus with donations received from ROC the Day is to defray the rising cost of programming at the Library. The Library leans on the Friends to help supplement the costs to offer free access to classes, workshops and special events.
Did you know?
It costs the library $1,320 a year to hold the very popular Danial Jones classes.
And, the adult cooking programs are $200 per class.
Ways to Give on ROC the Day:
To become a ROCstar donor, visit: United Way’s Roc the Day. A donor can give using any major credit card, a PayPal account, or you can give via telephone by calling 1-800-242-0238. ROCstars will still need to provide a credit or debit card number. ROCstars can use a desktop computer, laptop, most mobile or smartphone devices and tablets (e.g., iPad). Expect a thank you email from info@roctheday.org. This email will also include a tax receipt. ROCstars will get an additional email from PayPal confirming that the payment has been processed.
