Gates Historical Society Secretary Sue Swanton (right) presented Library Director, Anna Souannavong with historical maps of The Town of Gates that are dated 1872, 1902, and 1924. Their permanent home will soon be displayed in Local History/Genealogy on the 2nd floor of the library and temporarily be on display in the library atrium. Susan Swanton is a former Gates Public Library Director. She continues her commitment to the Gates community with her combined passion for libraries and local history serving as Secretary of the Friends of Gates Public Library and Secretary of the Gates Historical Society.
