IN-PERSON STORYTIMES AT WESTGATE PARK!

BIG NEWS!!! 
 
Mary Jo and Hannah are excited to announce the start of IN-PERSON STORYTIMES AT WESTGATE PARK!! Thanks to our friends at Gates Recreation and Parks Department, Hannah will be holding storytimes every Tuesday and Mary Jo will be holding storytimes every Thursday starting on Thursday, April 22nd at 10:15 am!
 
Storytimes will be held in the enclosed shelter at Westgate Park (1489 Howard Rd). Masks will be required at all times, and we ask that you stay home if you're feeling sick! Registration is REQUIRED for these programs, and can only be done in person or over the phone. Give us a call today to reserve your spot!
 
We can't WAIT to see you!!!!

Calling all tinkerers! Do you know someone in grades 4 through 9 who likes seriously fun, hands-on projects? Our NEW Tinker Crate is for you! The May/June Tinker Crate features a hydraulic claw that tinkerers can design, build and evolve to pick up balls, candy, marshmallows or anything else you can imagine. The crate comes with a hydraulic claw kit, a guide to build your claw, several different activities to explore as well as a couple surprises! The only thing you will need for this Crate is a screw driver.

Space is limited to 20 individuals. Register now to get your May/June Tinker Crate by May 3.

Exciting news! Mary Jo and Hannah will be hosting an in-person Dance Party on Friday April 9th at 9:15 before the library is open! The dance party will be held in our atrium, and attendees will have their own, socially distanced squares to dance in!
Groups can start registering today. Each group will be limited to 4 people. Masks are required at all times, and we ask that you stay home if you are not feeling well!
 
Registration is required and must be done either over the phone or in person. So stop in or call today!

National Library Week is April 4-10, 2021. Gates Public Library couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than partnering with the Rochester Education Foundation to collect new books!

REF is seeking diverse and inclusive books to get into the hands of school-aged children in the Rochester area. New book donations can be dropped off at the Gates Public Library and placed in the donation box located in the atrium of the library starting April 1st through April 30th.

April's title selection is, "The Woman Who Smashed Codes: A True Story of Love, Spies, and the Unlikely Heroine Who Outwitted America's Enemies," by Jason Fagone.
