What do you do at the Gates Public Library? I am the Adult Services Librarian at the Gates Public Library. I order all of the Adult print materials, literacy materials, and run most of the adult programming. What book has changed your life and how? The book that most changed my life was "Alice's Adventures In Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll because for the first time I placed myself in a different world and allowed my mind to be opened to the possibility of an author's imagination. What book made the biggest impact on you as a child? The books that made the biggest impact on me as a child were the "I See Sam" series. I was two-years-old and I taught myself how to read using those books and it led to my life-long love of reading (and eventually working in a library). You wake up to find your house is burning down. You only have time to save one object. What is it? If I could only save one object from a house fire it would be my cell phone because it has pictures, memories, and even books on there. What is your spirit guide animal? I've taken several spirit animal quizzes and the majority of them seem to lead to the Owl being my spirit animal, so I'll go with Owl. All of the titles under "Staff Recommendations" were selected by Paula.
